Youth Opportunities
Young people in the Tawatinaw Region can take advantage of two programs especially designed to encourage youth entrepreneurship.
Junior Achievement of North Alberta (JA)
Taught by volunteers at the primary, middle school and secondary level, JA’s courses are designed to educate young people about financial literacy, business sense and free enterprise.

Northern Alberta Youth Entrepreneur Camp (NAYEC)
The Northern Alberta Youth Entrepreneur Camp is designed for 13 to 15 year olds who are interested in learning how to start and operate their own business. Participants actually create a business plan, develop sales and marketing strategies and implement their business idea – as well as enjoying outdoor activities like swimming, canoeing, and archery.
